How Equipass brings trusted equine data into a secure digital passport, improving traceability and supporting current regulations.

Accurate and reliable data is essential to trust in the equine industry. From identification and ownership to health and competition, every stage of a horse’s life depends on information that is consistent, verified, and accessible. Equipass was created to bring this information together into one secure digital passport.

Built on trusted data sources

Equipass consolidates information originating from trusted and recognised data sources. This approach ensures that the data displayed within Equipass reflects verified records rather than unconfirmed entries.
By relying on authoritative sources, Equipass supports accuracy, reduces discrepancies, and helps maintain confidence across the equine industry.

The benefits of a digital passport

Digitalising trusted passport data offers practical advantages across the equine ecosystem:
  • improved accuracy through data drawn from recognised sources
  • greater transparency for owners, breeders, buyers, and authorities
  • faster access to essential identification information
  • stronger continuity of records across the horse’s lifetime
As the industry continues to evolve, digital systems play an increasingly important role in supporting efficiency and trust.

Important information for FEI events

While digitalisation offers clear benefits, currently, horses participating in FEI events are still required to carry their physical passport in accordance with current FEI regulations.
Equipass complements this requirement by providing digital access to verified information, but it does not replace the physical passport for FEI competitions or inspections at this time.
